Writing a diary - how important it can be at times !!!
I always fancied writing a diary, almost from my schooling. Whether it be just about a daily routine or a special incident, I always prefer putting down things. Once I happened to read my diary that I have written almost many years back. Guess what, I could see the childishness in it, that improper English and how just "going to school, coming back and going to music class" was repeated for almost all the days.
As far as I remember that was in my fourth grade. Then comes my high school stage. It now started having some really "special" incidents. I could see the improvement in it as there was a more mature Sowmya behind it. But even till date, ask me which one I prefer it would always be my fourth grade one. Those were the days when "feeling" meant only "getting angry".
Technology develops, I now have an iPhone app called "my secret diary." It has become so common to have your phone with you all the time. So, guess what, as soon as I feel like putting up one I open it and just dump my thoughts in it. Also, I noticed one thing. At times it is necessary for you to stop acting at the moment, think for a while and then do which ever is good for you and others. So, I now have all the time to analyse any situation. I just don't react on the spot, instead I put it down, sometimes even making pages together on it till I feel satisfied. Later on, when I reread them I realize how foolish it would have been if I did react on the spot just like a normal person would. This is why I thoroughly enjoy writing a diary.
